Reading and watching YouTube reviews for this movie I went in to the cinema thinking what on earth was I about to watch... I already knew what was coming at the end so the end credit scene wasn't going to be much of a surprise for me.

Have to say... I thought the movie was awesome! I walked out of the cinema thinking WOW, at last Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has got things right!

I knew that this film along with all of next years DC film releases are the last of the films that were produced under the old Warner Bros executives but they may have been tweaked by the new Discovery team so I wasn't expecting much, BUT... WOW! I felt like I was watching a proper superhero film. One that hadn't been meddled with by idiotic executives who didn't know the first thing of how to produce a fully fledged superhero film that was taken from the pages of a comic book.

Right from the start it felt like it was going to be a purely entertaining film and I was right, it literally started and quite literally never stopped entertaining. I felt like I was watching something that had literally jumped straight off the page of a comic, even the colouring felt like a comic!

Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam is just perfect and plays the character perfectly. He really was 'born' to play the role. Two other actors stand out just as well, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate. With supporting characters Atom Smasher and Cyclone respectively played by Noah Centineo and Quintessa Swindell and I will say that I really liked the comedy bits and pieces from Noah.

I did say before that I was a bit disappointed with how Hawkman looked and I was still a bit peeved that they'd changed him so much. I still believe that his costume should be more green than red and I don't like how his wings appear when he wants to fly rather than being out all the time, but I suppose WBD took the decision that it was far cheaper to do it that way. That being said, I will say Aldis Hodge is "one hell" of a HAWKMAN!

Pierce Brosnan's Dr Fate is friggin' awesome.... please, please, PLEASE WBD... release a Dr Fate film, giving us the background story of Dr Fate, including showing us how Kent Nelson AKA Dr Fate came to work with Hawkman.

I've heard over and over again that the character of the young lad Amon who's played by Bodhi Sabongui, zipping around on a skateboard and trying to guide Black Adam how to act as a hero in the new world he's woken up to is pretty annoying... but again, I have to say... I didn't think he was annoying one bit!

YES! The film won't win any awards for being the most well written of films, but let's face it... it's a superhero film and to be honest I didn't go to the cinema to watch 'The God Father' or 'Titanic'. I wanted to watch a Superhero film... something to loose myself in and above all be entertained and YES, I was ENTERTAINED. Black Adam is a fun filled adventure that quite honestly, never stops giving. So much so that my partner whispered to me, " Is this film ever going to slow down, it's all action" ... to which I replied... "I hope not!".

I really hope that this is a sign of things to come from WBD and DC as a whole, especially now that Henry Cavill has at last rightfully so, put on the cape again!
