Supergirl & The Fight Club

The CW has been busy of late since Arrow debuted in 2012, gathering as many heroes from all corners of the DC World and even pulling in DC characters from other networks.

The latest hero to join them is Supergirl, who has moved from its former home on CBS to join Oliver Queen, Barry Allen, the Legends of Tomorrow and everyone else in the ever-growing Arrow verse.

Supergirl gets the best induction Barry and Cisco can organise in 'Superhero Fight Club 2.0', even though I'm sure 'The Girl of Steel' could literally destroy the whole room if she really wanted too.

A follow-up to last year’s CW superhero/supervillain group promo, Three Minute Fight Club which went down very well with fans and is back by popular demand with 2.0.

Supposedly a way for all of The CW’s superheroes to train together (but mostly just a way to have fun and promote the returning shows), Superhero Fight Club 2.0 pits Supergirl and her new friends against a variety of new challenges, chosen by Cisco and Felicity Smoak.

The Superhero Fight Club mini movies are a good way to remind everyone that The CW’s superhero series are coming back in full force, starting this week with the Season 3 premiere of The Flash and the Season 5 premiere of Arrow. Followed next week by Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow both returning for their second seasons.

I absolutely love what they've done here. When I watched it for the first time I had the same feeling as when I first watched the 'Avengers' movie. I felt like I was watching a comic that had come to life! I do realise though that as much as I found it extremely enjoyable, what they do on a TV show with these Superheroes would not relate through to a big screen movie, but hell, I wish I could come out from every DC Movie feeling like I did when I watched this!

The CW may not have the massive budgets of their big screen counterparts, but I think what they do is pretty entertaining... except for the those awful costumes they've come up with for the Justice Society of America who are about to appear in Legends of Tomorrow!
