Costume Build
Bull by the Horns!
Yep, this Halloween I'm actually going to a Halloween evening and we're taking the bull by its horns, (or BAT by the ears, lol) and going in Fancy Dress, so, after much deliberation and sore fingers and thumbs (NO, I can't sew to save my life!) here is my interpretation of BATMAN!
I've had great fun creating the costume and have decided that this isn't the end ... it's version one :0) What i'm saying is, much of this has been put together just for the Halloween Party ... although I have to say, i'm quite pleased with the results!
If I was going to do this, I had to do the character justice, after all, I'm gonna be spending quite a few hours dressed as my "Ultimate Hero" and it was definitely not a case of hiring a bad outfit from a costume hire shop.
So over the past four weeks or so, I've gathered together as much as possible including 8 yards of PVC coated spandex for a complete circular cape, a grey body suite and all the bits and pieces to produce a hybrid 'comics' version of the famous BATsuit!
I've used a 'Michael Keaton' BATMAN returns rubber cowl, which isn't technically correct, but it'll do the job for the night, my aim is to later on actually create or form a cowl from the same material as the cape .... I have a few ideas of how to do it, but, we'll see .... keep a look out!
Anyways take a look at how I put it all together and see what ya think :0)
