Batman vs Superman: 30 minutes longer
Batman V Superman available for digitally download Tuesday 28th June!
Warner Bros. Pictures and DC are to release an “Ultimate Edition” version of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice for home viewing. The “Ultimate Edition” version of director Zack Snyder’s superhero blockbuster - the second installment in the DC Extended Universe after Man of Steel - aims to address a number of complaints surrounding the theatrical version (and possibly stir some up in the process) by featuring a different cut of the film – one that is Rated R and is 30 minutes longer than its theatrical one.
Personally I didn't find anything wrong with the movie, I loved every minute of it!
A trailer has now been released for the Batman V Superman “Ultimate Edition” release and it includes more than its fair share of footage that wasn’t included in the theatrical cut. That includes additional scenes dealing with the aftermath of Superman’s actions in North Africa, people from around the world debating the Man of Steel’s moral code, and a brief glimpse at the character played by Snyder’s Sucker Punch costar, Jena Malone, in the film. Official details regarding the Blu-ray are available now too.
Below is the rundown of Batman V Superman “Ultimate Edition” Blu-ray features:
- Uniting the World’s Finest
- Gods and Men: A Meeting of Giants
- The Warrior, The Myth, The Wonder
- Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile
- Superman: Complexity & Truth
- Batman: Austerity & Rage
- Wonder Woman: Grace & Power
- Batcave: Legacy of the Lair
- The Might and the Power of a Punch
- The Empire of Luthor
- Save the Bats
Both the original cut and the extended 'Ultimate Edition' of Batman V Superman will be available for digitally download on Tuesday 28th June, before hitting shelves in the physical realm on Tuesday 19th July.
As usual these dates are for the US, Warner Bros UK have decided that as we are football crazy at the moment with The Euro 2016 Competition won't see this until 2 weeks later!
